This English Sector Après-Cours (APC) Social Integration (SI) workshop will focus on behaviour challenges in SI, SVI, and Alt. Ed. contexts. More specifically, participants will learn how to analyze, predict, and support students in crisis. The workshop will cover: the definition of severe challenging behaviours; the multimodal (or bio-psycho-social approach); de-escalation grids; the positive approach; anxiety / coping strategies.

The meeting was held on December 2, 2021 and presented by Janice Bicher Jarvis, M.Sc. It was hosted by Matthew Keneddy, Consultant for Social Participation and Sociovocational Integration, Lester B. Pearson Continuing Education.
